PackaHome Rental Agreement & Damage/Loss Policy

PackaHome Rental Agreement v1.0

This Rental Agreement applies to all reusable moving crates, dollies, and other rental equipment provided by PackaHome.

1. Ownership of Equipment

All crates, dollies, and other rental equipment provided by PackaHome remain the property of PackaHome at all times. Payment for a rental does not transfer ownership of any PackaHome equipment to the customer.

2. Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for PackaHome rental equipment from the time it is delivered or otherwise received by the customer until it is returned to or collected by PackaHome.

The customer agrees to take reasonable care of all rental equipment and use it only for its intended purpose.

3. Return of Equipment

All rented equipment must be available for return or pickup on the scheduled return date unless an extension has been approved by PackaHome.

The customer is responsible for returning the same number of crates, dollies, and other rental items originally provided.

4. Normal Wear and Tear

Customers will not be charged for reasonable wear resulting from normal moving use. This includes ordinary scratches, minor scuffs, cosmetic marks, and other minor wear that does not materially affect the functionality of the equipment.

5. Lost, Stolen, or Unreturned Crates

A charge of $15 per crate may apply to each PackaHome crate that is lost, stolen, destroyed, or not returned.

6. Damaged Crates

A crate damaged beyond reasonable repair may result in a charge of $15 per crate.

For repairable damage beyond normal wear and tear, the customer may be responsible for the actual reasonable repair cost, not exceeding $15 per crate.

Examples of damage beyond normal wear may include substantial cracks, broken structural components, holes, severe deformation, intentional damage, or damage caused by improper use.

7. Dollies and Other Equipment

Customers are responsible for lost, stolen, unreturned, or materially damaged dollies and other PackaHome rental equipment.

Applicable replacement or repair charges for dollies or other equipment will be disclosed to the customer based on the equipment provided and its reasonable replacement or repair cost.

8. Rental Extensions and Late Returns

If the customer needs additional rental time, they should contact PackaHome before the scheduled return/pickup date.

Additional rental charges may apply to approved extensions according to PackaHome's current extension pricing.

Failure to make rental equipment reasonably available for the scheduled pickup may result in additional rental or rescheduling charges if those charges were disclosed as part of the customer's order or rental terms.

9. Lost or Stolen Equipment

Theft or loss of equipment while it is in the customer's possession does not automatically eliminate the customer's responsibility for applicable replacement charges.

10. Inspection and Damage Determination

PackaHome may inspect returned equipment for missing items or damage beyond normal wear and tear.

PackaHome will not assess damage charges for ordinary cosmetic wear associated with reasonable moving use.

11. Charges

If an amount becomes properly due under this agreement for lost, unreturned, or damaged rental equipment, PackaHome may seek payment from the customer using the payment method associated with the rental or another lawful payment method, subject to applicable law and payment processor requirements.

12. Replacement Charge Changes

PackaHome may change replacement or damage charges for future rentals if equipment replacement costs change. Any customer will be subject only to the terms and disclosed charges applicable to the rental agreement they accepted for that particular order.

13. Customer Acknowledgment

By accepting this agreement, the customer confirms that they have reviewed and agree to the PackaHome Rental Agreement & Damage/Loss Policy and understand their responsibility for PackaHome rental equipment while it is in their possession.
